Judd Stephenson, PGA Professional
When Judd was inducted into the Northern Ohio PGA Hall of Fame in 2020, it was the culmination of a professional career spent teaching, coaching, competing and fostering the game of golf.
As a Golf Professional for 30 years and Director of Instruction at Avon Oaks Country Club, past Executive Director of the Ohio Girls Golf Foundation, and current owner of Judd’s Golf Sim, he’s carrying on the traditions his father taught him growing up in Southeast Ohio. His first rounds were played alongside him from 50 yards into the hole, until he improved enough to play each hole as it was designed. Judd went on to play in high school and college, where he studied business at Ohio University.
This life-long promoter of golf served in leadership positions with the Northern Ohio PGA, winning prestigious awards such as Golf Professional of the Year, in addition to serving as Secretary, Vice President and President.
Over the years, keeping his family close to him—wife Kim, and sons Nicholas and Bailey who worked for him at the Club—has always been important.
Throughout his life, a devotion to technology has impacted his career, and Judd’s Golf Sim is the perfect blend of his passion for golf and his quest to seek out the latest hi-tech gadgets. He founded Judd’s Golf Sim in 2021 to help improve people’s golf games with a year-long approach, honing their skills, making practice perfect, and boosting their enjoyment on the links.
